Mobile Scaffolding For Ease Of Movement In Home And Industry
Mobile industrial scaffolding makes more sense however as a construction site usually has an ample number of workers to move the construction scaffolding about the building site. A recent invention is the mobile scaffold vehicle. The vehicle has a motorized base with an upper surface, a first frame member, and a second frame member. The first and second frame members are pivotally mounted near the respective opposite ends of the upper surface of the scaffolding system.
The Mobile Scaffold Vehicle
The first mobile scaffolding frame member is movable independently of the second frame member. The first frame member can be easily moved from an inoperative storage position near the upper surface. This is generally in a vertical operative position. The second mobile scaffolding frame member is movable independently of the first frame member as well. This member is also moved from an inoperative storage position near the upper surface and is generally in a vertical operative position. This is required so that in their operative positions, the first and second fame members are generally parallel and located near opposite ends of the upper surface. A platform is then attached to the mobile scaffold frame members in the operative position and then uses numerous anchor arrangements for anchoring the frame members in the operative position, allowing an operator or worker to stand on the platform in complete safety.
Mobile Scaffolding Companies
Mobile scaffolding companies are proliferating overseas, but not so much in the US due to the housing economic turn-down. The companies are not going bankrupt; however they seem to be barely holding their own. The steel scaffolding companies have been hit the hardest due to the need for heavy imports of steel from overseas. This steel is costly due to bulk and weight - shipping costs are burdensome - sometimes almost as much as the cost of the steel. This drives up the price of the finished products.
Mobile Scaffold Training
Mobile scaffolding training is on-going due to a change in the workforce. Many semi-skilled workers from South and Central America have returned home because of the economic turn-down in the building industry here in the US, thus leaving a shortage in:
- scaffold manufacturing workers
- scaffolding assemblers
- and home scaffolding users.
New American workers must undergo scaffolding training.
Knock-down mobile scaffolding is shipped complete and is supported by four corner wheels. And through adjustment or substitution they can be varied in length, width, and height. Optional power driving and steering units are available. The mobile scaffolds are reversible with a variable speed drive motor. They are steered by a workman on the scaffold.
Industrial scaffolding is more expensive due to sheer size. Industrial building construction has been hit harder than single family home construction and use of home scaffolding, and there have been some closures and layoffs in the industrial scaffold manufacturing business. Mobile scaffold for industrial scaffolding and other commercial needs are at zero growth in the US.
